I haven’t lived with my parents for a while. My dad is elderly and sickly. My mom is mentally impaired and therefore unable to work. We were very poor and they were not able to take care of me. Jennifer became my guardian and I lived with her until her husband recently passed away. She has six children of her own that she was caring for and now she is just unable to provide for me. I am a burden to her. She is overwhelmed with being a widow. I am happy to be at Kaptagat Children’s Home.
