Grade 2
In Naomi's few years, she's spent a lot of her time isolated, neglected and abused. When her parents separated, her mother disappeared and she was left to fend for herself and younger sister, under the care of their father. The girls consistently spent days alone at their father's house. When he was around, there was suspected severe abuse. Child protection services removed them from the home and placed them with their great grandmother, who had no capacity to care for small children. This traumatic instability has left Naomi with fears of abandonment, difficulty expressing herself, and struggles forming positive social relationships. Being taken into Chariots' care, Naomi has received stability for the first time in her life. She is receiving trauma therapies and one-on-one educational assistance. Through these gradual steps, Naomi can rest in the support of the care she is receiving and is slowly blossoming into a happy little girl.
