My Story

Kiprono was brought up in the forest. His mother was also raised in the forest and ran away from home when she was young. She later was married and lived with her husband for a short time before they separated. In 2004 she heard that her husband had died of road accident. She has been the sole provider in her family. With no place to call home, Dennis and his family have had to move from one place to another in search of a cheap house to settle in. Dennis and his elder siblings have had to stay out of school on most occasions because their mother is unemployed. Whatever small income she receives from temporary work is not enough to meet the physical needs of the family. It has become normal for this family to go without food for days.
