Grade 1
Faith and her older sister, Naomi were regularly left neglected by their father. He was a single parent after separating from their mother and would leave them alone for days at a time. The girls often went without food and care, never experiencing sustained education or ways to maintain proper hygiene. The girls were removed from the home by child protective services when it was suspected that their father was abusing Faith's older sister. They were placed in the care of their great grandmother temporarily but she had no ability to care for little children. Through this instability, Faith has developed emotional and social challenges, inabilities to relate or form bonds well, and often isolates herself. With dedicated support of therapists and staff at the Chariots children's home, Faith is slowly building trust. This is a slow and steady journey that Faith has ahead of her but her Caregivers are dedicated to providing Faith with the full support she needs, equipping her to have a future full of hope in Christ.
