When I was 1 year old my dad died suddenly one night. My parents were not together when he died. I have 7 older siblings but there is no one to take care of us as my mom is intellectually disabled. The mud hut we lived in was falling down. Instead of going to school, we would go fishing during the day so that we could eat.Two of my siblings came with me to the children’s home. I am thankful to have a safe place to sleep and be able to go to school.
