My mother passed away when I was an infant. She was suffering from headaches regularly. One day she went to purchase painkillers from the local pharmacy, but the pain was too much and she was rushed to the local hospital. The doctors tried to treat her but she passed before anything could be done. My grandmother tried to care for me after my mother's death but she was too old. The Chief of our village intervened and brought me to the Mogogosiek Baby Home. I'm now old enough to graduate to the Maai Mahiu Children's Home.
