Cornelius’ father passed away in 2005 due to malaria attack. Cornelius and his two siblings remained under the care of their mother who does not have any stable source of income. Providing for the needs of her three children became a big challenge for her. The situation became worse when her brother-in-law chased her out of her late husband’s house. Therefore, she lost the small property she had inherited from her husband. Starting life again from scratch with no stable source of income and three children to care was nearly impossible.
