Ann is a survivor of domestic abuse at the hands of her father. In intoxicated states, he would lash out and regularly harm his family. He brutally assaulted her mother, to the point of disabling her. It is unknown if she will ever have the capabilities to care for her children again. To protect from further abuse, Ann and her sister, Agnes, were rescued into Chariots care. Despite her hostile past and lack of education, Ann is now getting a chance to work through her fears and catch up to her peers in school.
