I was left alone with my two younger sisters when my mother abandoned us. There was a man staying with us who was not our father. When he realized our mom was gone, he also left that very day. The neighbors fed us for the first few days after our mom went to an unknown place. Then the landlord reported our situation to the police and they brought us to Maai Mahiu Children’s Home. I feel safe and I’m thankful to be here with my sisters.
