🎉 Let’s Celebrate — 30 for 30! 🎉

Be one of thirty people to donate thirty dollars to celebrate my 30th birthday!

One of the most powerful lessons learned this year was that waves of change can come from the most inconsequential moments — or in this case, a little friendly birthday competition.

It all started when my colleague Stevie and I challenged one another to see who could raise more for Chariots. In birthday fun, we wanted to see who could raise the most asking for donations in the amount of the age we would be turning ($29 dollars for Stevie’s 29th birthday, $30 dollars for mine). It was great to see the donations roll in for Stevie’s birthday. It was all fun and games until someone donated $1000 to his campaign. What was a little competition between coworkers became a moment that will leave tangible change in the lives of the children and staff we serve. 

That unexpected generosity reminded us why we started this in the first place. Because even one donation, regardless of size, can have a lasting impact.

• $30 can provide one child’s family with food for the Christmas holiday
• $100 helps provide essential baby supplies such as diapers and formula
• $1,000 helps alleviate suffering through care and provision for almost half a year for one baby or child
