Last summer I was blessed to participant in my first Medical Mission Trip to Kenya.

Prior to our visit only 1% of the children living in Chariots for Hope's six children's homes and two baby homes had ever received a vision, hearing, or developmental screening.

We provided 6 vision kits, 6 hearing kits, and 6 developmental training kits and trained 27 caregivers in how to administer screenings.

Within six months, they had screened 410 children (96% of those in their care).

This year we have a team of 2 occupational therapists, and 7 occupational therapy students who will deliver 5 new training modules to the caregivers based on the needs they identified.
