Help CCDC Support the Children at Kitui Baby Home

The Kitui Baby Home is located in Kenya, Africa. Since 2016, we have partnered with this orphanage to help give our kids a global perspective. For our preschoolers, Kenya is more than a world away from our school in Dresher, PA. They can’t imagine a life without lunchboxes, playgrounds, and lots of toys, so we looked for ways to help our kids make connections. Over the years, we’ve exchanged letters and photos, sharing about our favorite activities and what we do at school, and each year around the holidays we choose a project to help support our sister school.

Winnie Kioko is the director of Kitui Baby Home, which serves 55 children, ages 3 months – 5 years. She and her staff provide loving care to meet the children’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational needs. Many of the children have medical and social emotional needs associated with the trauma they’ve been through.

Tabitha is one of these children that has been helped by Kitui Baby Home. She was rescued after her unmarried mother passed away and her father was nowhere to be found. This left Tabitha malnourished, weak, and neglected. However, at Kitui Baby Home, she has received the care she needs to thrive.

This year, we would like to give a financial contribution to help the children like Tabitha. Our goal is to raise $2,500. Please consider giving any amount you’re able to. Stop by the bulletin board in the hallway to see more pictures and the scrapbook from kids at Kitui.
