Donna Moore's Fundraiser

This August, I have the incredible honor of traveling to Kenya with a small but powerful team of 19 dedicated professionals and students. Together, we will work alongside the caregivers at the Chariots for Hope supported orphanages, six children’s homes and two baby homes, that provide love, safety, and hope to more than 800 children who were orphaned or abandoned.

I heard about this trip from my sister, Teresa, who is a gifted special education teacher. I asked if nurses were needed. The answer was yes! And then I heard the team would be offering trainings to local women who attend births, with an emphasis on simple ways to resuscitate newly born infants, I teared up. Birth is my passion. And what a gift it will be to work with women who attend births in small villages in Kenya and learn from them while teaching basic neonatal resuscitation skills to those who can make such a big difference to a child.
