Jane is the second born in a family of three. Jane and her little sister, Hannah, were rescued by the police in 2022. The matter was reported to Maai-Mahiu police, who later informed the children’s officer. Maai Mahiu Children’s Home was requested to take them temporarily to wait for the mother to be summoned by the court. The mother has been attending court for hearings and it was last week when the manager was called by the Children’s Officer requesting us to admit both siblings to the campus as their mother is an alcoholic and can’t provide and care for them.
